A Modern Transformation
Remodeling an existing structure invariably presents a more intricate challenge than new construction. Our recent work on Villa Clara exemplifies this complexity. The core task was to adapt and expand the existing structure and style, creating additional livable spaces while carefully navigating the transition to a more contemporary aesthetic, all in line with the client's vision.
A key objective was to preserve the unique and distinctive architectural elements of the original 1970s design. This involved a respectful approach to the existing architectural language, ensuring that new additions and modernizations did not conflict with the villa's inherent character. Our design strategy focused on introducing a contemporary sensibility that complements, rather than competes with, the '70s architectural mood. The result is a harmonious blend where new interventions seamlessly integrate with and elevate the villa's original charm, offering enhanced functionality and a refreshed aesthetic.
